Celebrating Anandha Kannan

Public·475 Celebrators

#celebratingAK. Here's something I created in celebration of our நண்பா and would also like to share one of my earliest memories of him. We decided to work on a project and met up to start the discussions. It started later in the evening and went on for a few hours. Throughout the entire session, I was in complete awe. Here was a man who has achieved so much in his field. Yet, he was so down to earth and extremely humble. There was so much positivity when we spoke. Once the session ended, despite it being late, he decided to give me a ride home which was clearly a detour for him. I told him that there's sufficient time for me to hop onto the last bus but he insisted on dropping me home and I obliged. That ride was a surreal experience for me. I was star-struck. During our journey, I shared with him how I was inspired by his Oor Kuruvi show and did a 30-days solo backpacking trip in India. He was so happy when I said that and his hands when to his chest and he said "கேட்க ரொம்ப சந்தோஷமா இருக்கு நண்பா!". Words don't do justice. But the look on his face when he said that is just etched on my heart. It was a huge moment for me. Like you know, a proud moment when you tell your teacher that you scored well for a subject that they taught you and how the teacher reacts to it. That kind of feeling. We went on to discuss my travel adventures throughout the ride. This was a ride that I wished didn't end but it did. There were so many moments with him and there’re so much to describe about him that just words can't describe but could only be felt. I'm truly grateful to have know him in this lifetime and I pray for his soul to rest in peace. See you on other side when my time comes நண்பா.
