Celebrating Anandha Kannan

It took me some time to digest that l can no longer keep in touch with one of the most beautiful souls l have had the honour of knowing. AK was and will always be a blessing to all who have crossed paths with him. I always teased him about never aging and he'll say that l am being too kind. But it was actually he who was kind, compassionate, friendly and passionate about everything. He always encouraged others and never had airs about him. Love his sense of fashion and his charm. I will always treasure the friendship and the laughter we shared during the times when he hosted our CC events. Go in peace, my friend. You will always be an irreplaceable treasure to many of us 🤗💗

Apart from anchoring you have touched so many lives by promoting "Tamil Ethinic Arts" in your country singapore by doing this you will always live in the hearts of all Tamilians.Those unexpected phone conversation with you through my Uncle's Mobile truly exhibits that warm nature and energy you showcased on TV was not for the cameras but who as a person you are. And the happiness in ur voice when I could able to recollect the Indian television show done long back by you was unforgettable.You became an inspiration for many.You showed how one should celebrate life amidst of all struggles by Your Ever smiling face,Humility and Encouraging attitude.

A very humble and kind soul whom I had the acquaintance when we organised events in Boon Lay CC and then became friends. A very talented host and VJ whom I had always enjoyed watching in our Vasantham show as well as India shows. I am really glad I had gotten to know him and always supported his views and love for culture and traditions. Here are some memorable times taken during our event in Boon Lay CC and also during the Karagam event.

I met AK and family at my cousin’s function. I should say he was a humble with that million dollar smile, calmly speaking to everyone despite not knowing them personally. His spouse is as friendly and humble as him.

Great Actor, Host, Compere and a Humble Human Being who had so much passion for Tamil & Arts. Gone too soon and RIP Nanba! 🙏🏼🤍 May your legacy continue! Amen 🙏🏼

மிகவும் பணிவுடனும் இனிமயுடனும் பேசும் ஆற்றல் பெற்றவர். இளம் வயதிலே தமிழுக்கும் தமிழ் கலை உலகிற்கும் அயராது உழைத்த வர்.இவரின் தந்தை கெப்டன்.கோவிந்தராஜூ அவர்களின் தமிழ் பணி தமிழ் சமுதாயத்திற்கு ஒரு எடுத்து காட்டு என்பது இங்கு குறிப்பிட தக்கது. சிங்கப்பூர் பெக் கியோ தமிழ் கலாச்சார குழுமம் அனந்தகண்ணனின் முதல் படிவம் . இவர் தமிழுக்கு தொண்டாற்றிய உண்மையான தமிழன் என்றால் அதுவும் மிகையாகாது. அனந்தகண்ணனை இறுதியாக 2018ல் சென்னையில் சிங்கப்பூர் தேசிய தின விழா நிகழ்ச்சியில் சந்தித்த போது எனது தன்முனைப்பு வகுப்பு நிகழ்ச்சியில் கலந்து கொள்ள விழைகிறேன் என்றார். மீண்டும் வருவேன் என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு இன்று சிவபதம் அடைந்து விட்டார்ர.அவரின் பிரிவு அவரது குடும்பத்திற்கும் தமிழ் கலை உலகிற்கும் ஒரு பேர் இழப்பு. அவரின் ஆத்மா சாந்தியும் சமாதானும் அடையட்டும். அவரது துணைவியாருக்கும் குழந்தைகளுக்கும் இந்த துயரத்திலிருந்து மீண்டு வர இறைவன் அவர்களுக்கு மன வலிமையை அளிக்குமாறு வேண்டுகிறேன்.ஓம் சாந்தி.

Having known Kanna and also being close to him i consider as one of the greatest blessings. Not every day does someone meet or move with Anandakannan. He is special. One of a kind. The only thing he knew to do all the time is to keep around him happy. Kanna i cant tell you how special u made me feel. How loved i felt. I started believing that i was beautiful. Just that smile is enough. The trip to pondicherry , the innumerable times you would walk into the studio and just ask me to sing in a live show. The surya namaskarams,salads, the world's best hug and that million dollar smile straight from the heart. I can go on and on. This huge place that i had for you in my heart is empty and no one can ever ever take it. You are undoubtedly special for me…
